The Project is a 4-in-1 Depot consisting of the following components, Underground existing line depot, At-grade Eastern Region Line (ERL) depot, Elevated East-West (EWL) Line depot, Multi-storey bus depot, Associated viaducts connecting EWL depot to existing viaducts and associate tunnels for connecting ERL depot and existing line depot to their respective mainline tunnels.
LPA focused on reviewing the following:-
- Design Objectives
- Methodology for performance based design
- Performance Criteria used by FSE
- Acceptance criteria recommended by FSE
- Assumptions made by the FSE, i.e., on smoke behaviour, egress behaviour, wind behaviour.
- Appropriateness of software recommended to be used
Proposed Aman Mall, Alor Setar, Kedah Darul Aman
The proposed shopping mall development consists of 8 storeys above ground and 2 storeys belowground. The gross floor area is approximately 192,931sq.m, where the retails area is approximately 135,212sq.m. We acted as a reviewer for the nominated Fire Safety Engineer and also assisted with the project submission to the authorities.
Martrade Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur
The Matrade development is a prestigious development situated within the Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area. The development comprises of underground car parks, exhibition halls, a conference centre, voids connecting all above ground levels. The peer review is to provide comments on the specific areas of the report where fire safety is emphasized and further information are considered necessary or advisable for the Fire Engineering Analysis.
Parkson Store at Part of Ground and First Floor of 1 Borneo Hypermall, Kota Kinabalu
The store was previously designed with a Fire Engineering Performance Based Design approach and the review of the previous Fire Engineering Report was undertaken to assess if the refurbishment would require a reanalysis of the previous design to address changes due to the refurbishment. A reanalysis was undertaken and found that the existing smoke management system was still adequate.
